Dear Star Riders,

I was reading through the Middleweight Cruiser's BBS and saw a post from a Shadow owner about the Shadow forum hosted at Delphi's Custom Forums. I followed the link and investigated further to see that it was a pretty easy (and free) way of having a BBS style message board.

I have taken the liberty of starting up the forum and posted all mails I have received to date to the forum for a number of reasons.

   1. I do like getting emails a lot but if the messages start getting heavy, it will be heard to follow threads of conversations.
   2. Although we are small in number, I have a good feeling that this "Association" will grow quickly. This means that adding people's email addresses etc to my Exchange client will become tedious and I know I am a lazy bugger so eventually, I will stop adding new members to my list which is not fair to the new members.
   3. A forum or BBS will keep a log of messages so any new members will be able to scan through the old messages and catch up with what has transpired.
   4. I'm sure there are more reasons but can't think of them right now.

Suffice to say, I know I have been "forward" in starting the thing up without consent from all of you (particularly Michael) but that is in my Australian nature. (grin)

OK, now that it is set up, go have a look and see what you think:

From that page, you will probably have to sign up as a CustomForum member or something. It doesn't look too difficult. You should then head to the "Forum" for all the messages (except this one) that have been posted to me so far.

Anyway, let me (and everyone) know what you think. If as a group we don't like it, fine as it has cost us nothing but a bit of my time. Believe me, I wont be upset.

Michael, although I have set it up, I don't want to administer it, (if any admin is required) so if you feel it is worth continuing, please reply and I will pass on the mantle to yourself or any other volunteer.

OK, hope this has not offended anyone but I feel this is better than man-handling a manual email list that is sure to grow quickly. I do feel we should have a "register" like Michael has of any "members" of ISRA.

Over to you guys.

Stay Upright,
Mark
